The first-ever Metaverse Fashion Week will be held in Decentraland, the first virtual world owned by its users.
On March 24, MVFW will be available to the general public without requiring a ticket. The blockchain-backed experience will allow fashion labels and investors to buy digital land for the facilitation of shows, concerts, afterparties, and more.

Even though the event is free, attendees will be able to use their Ethereum wallets to purchase digital wearables from brands to use with their customised avatars. It’s also worth noting that many of the brands exhibiting at MVFW will offer attendees the chance to purchase actual pieces of clothing and other accessories from their collections.
“We want to help the onboarding process and push creativity and show everyone what is possible,” Sam Hamilton, the creative director of Decentraland Foundation, said in a recent interview with Vogue Business. Because we want the community and other businesses in Decentraland to know that the platform is a place where people can shop and release their products, we do this to demonstrate that. As a result, the platform’s user base will grow and become more interesting to them.
More details on Decentraland’s upcoming Metaverse Fashion Week will be released in the near future.
