Dark Souls meets open world in Elden Ring, one of the most eagerly awaited games of the year. Players will also be able to take on incredibly difficult optional bosses that are concealed in the realm of Elden Ring, according to developer From Software. Fans were allowed to play a large chunk of Elden Ring during the Closed Network Test that took place in late November. The success of the Network Test has only fueled excitement for the upcoming event. However, while Elden Ring will be available on PC and consoles, the Closed Network Test will be exclusive to console users. Until recently, From Software had not provided any system requirements for Elden Ring, which many fans had been curious about.

A short time ago, Elden Ring’s Steam website had a list of the game’s system requirements. It simply included the bare essentials, and even then, the advice given was merely “to be determined.” A Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 is required for Elden Ring, according to the removal list. The Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X are the minimum CPU requirements for this game. In order to run it, you’ll need at least 12 GB of RAM and about 60 GB of hard drive space.

To run Elden Ring, you must have the following system requirements:

  • Windows 10 and 11
  • Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 3 3300X processors are the most popular options.
  • 12 Gigabytes of RAM
  • AMD Radeon RX 580 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, 3GB
  • A newer version of DirectX
  • 60 GB of storage space are available.

Although the GTX 1060 was released more than five years ago, it still serves as the benchmark for most modern games. One thing to note is that the 3 GB card was listed instead of the 6 GB card. The PS5 version of Elden Ring is expected to occupy up to 80 GB of storage space, which is more than double the current standard of 60 GB. PS5 owners may consider installing a second SSD to their consoles because of the console’s poor storage capacity and the fact that Horizon Forbidden West requires about 90 GB. Having only the minimal requirements given on the Steam website for Elden Ring, and the recommended portion left blank, seems odd. Some fans felt that the minimum requirements were set excessively high, and that the specifications lists had become muddled in the process. That the prerequisites have been eliminated is not surprising, and it’s possible that FromSoftware will disclose the complete list later today. FromSoftware’s games don’t appear to be very demanding in terms of graphics, although they can occasionally suffer from poor optimization. Some time before the game’s release, fans may expect to learn more about Elden Ring’s performance on PC and consoles.
