On February 5, 2022, Abhijeet and Sansrati became the first Indian couple to get married in a 3D Metaverse. On the Yug Metaverse, the wedding was held (made in India metaverse platform). For ITC Ltd. and, the association was conceptualised, organised and executed by the media agency Wavemaker India.
This is how India’s first Metaverse wedding was executed, with 500 guests and two brand associations.
On a beautiful beach, the couple’s digital avatars had their wedding ceremony, which was also attended by their virtual guests. From 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. on February 5, 2022, the wedding took place, coinciding with the actual event in Bhopal itself.

Matrimony site Abhijeet Goel and Dr. Sansrati of Bhopal met through the internet. Because of this, they came up with the idea of getting married on a virtual platform so that their friends and family from all over the world could be a part of their big day without sacrificing the safety of their guests.

Sansrati and Abhijeet set up a beautiful beachside wedding venue that could be accessed via the Yug platform. More than 500 people registered to attend the wedding. Attendees were able to change their avatars, walk around the event, and even take to the dance floor in virtual reality.
